Department Of Mechanical Engineering

MGIT has the distinction of introducing the first Mechatronics B.Tech. Programme in Asia. This is a unique discipline based on the concept of concurrent engineering to the design of electromechanical systems. This design priciple is exemplified by a design approach where Mechanical, Electronics, Computer and Control subsystems are integrated simultaneously to function as a single system.

The Department is headed by a Professor with a Doctoral degree and valuable teaching experience of over a decade. This apart one more Professor with Ph.D, 4 Associate Professors with M.Tech., 2 Senior Assistant Professors with M.Tech., and 6 Post Graduate & Graduate Assistant Professors form the strength of the Department.
